Same-Day May Be Available

Same-week is normal — call for real emergencies.

Refrigerators, ranges, ovens, dishwashers, and disposals each fail differently, but they share the same kitchen and often the same circuits — a "broken" appliance is sometimes actually a wiring problem underneath it. EMC diagnoses the machine and the power feeding it on the same visit.

What Gets Diagnosed And Repaired

A fridge that's not cooling, running nonstop, or leaking underneath; an electric range or oven with a dead burner or one that won't hold temperature; a dishwasher that won't drain or clean; a disposal that hums but won't turn. Alongside the appliance itself, we check the outlet or circuit it runs on — sometimes that's the actual problem.

What Drives The Cost Or Timeline

A control board or a specialty part sometimes needs ordering rather than being on the truck. On an older appliance, repair cost can get close to the price of a new unit — EMC lays that comparison out honestly instead of pushing toward the bigger-ticket option. Get a real number after the actual diagnosis.

Where EMC's Scope Ends

Gas ranges and gas line work go to a licensed gasfitter — that license is outside what EMC holds. Dishwasher and disposal supply and drain plumbing is a plumber's job. EMC repairs electric ranges, ovens, cooktops, refrigerators, dishwashers, and disposals, and says plainly when a job actually needs a different trade instead of taking it anyway.

NO RUNAROUND

HOW IT WORKS WITH EMC

  1. 01

    Call it in

Tell us the appliance and what it's doing. Same-week service is normal; same-day may be available — call.

  2. 02

    Diagnose first

A real inspection, not a guess — including a check of the outlet or circuit feeding it, since sometimes that's the actual problem.

  3. 03

    Straight numbers

Repair cost weighed against a new unit, explained plainly — no push toward replacement just because it's the bigger ticket.

  4. 04

Fix it or explain why not

Repaired the same visit when the parts and scope allow it; if it's not worth fixing, you hear that too.

ANSWERS

COMMON QUESTIONS

My fridge runs constantly but never gets cold — what usually causes that?

Could be a few things — a failing compressor, a refrigerant issue, a door seal that's no longer sealing, or a condenser coil that needs cleaning. We diagnose before quoting instead of guessing over the phone.

Do you fix gas ranges?

No — gas ranges and gas line work need a licensed gasfitter, which is outside EMC's scope. EMC repairs electric ranges, ovens, and cooktops.

My dishwasher isn't draining — is that the machine or the plumbing?

Could be either. A clogged drain line is a plumbing issue outside our scope; a dead drain pump or control board is ours. We tell you honestly which one it is before any work starts.
