My dryer takes two or three cycles to dry a load — is that the machine or the vent?
Often the vent, especially in an older building with a long or bent run. We check the vent path along with the machine instead of assuming it's a bad heating element.
My washer won't spin — is that worth fixing or should I replace it?
Depends what's actually wrong. A lid switch or belt is a straightforward fix; a failed motor or control board on an older unit might not be worth it against a new machine. We diagnose first and tell you honestly which side of that line you're on.
Could my breaker tripping be the washer's fault, not the wiring?
Possibly either — a failing motor can pull enough current to trip a breaker that's otherwise fine. Because EMC is also a licensed electrician, one visit checks both instead of guessing which one it is.
